Off to Turkey!
Yes, I know I said Greece, but because they messed up our holiday and started to fiddle with the flight times taking about 30 hours off our holiday(!) we asked them not to process it and we chose another one.
So we're off to Marmaris in Turkey. I've been there once before on a day trip from Rhodes. I was 15, having crushes on any guys who spoke to me and made a complete fool of myself... it's another story you don't need to know! The day in Marmaris was cool though. The bazaar was a weird experience. Bartering isn't what the British do is it? I'd better get used to it though - well for a week anyway.
Have you got any tips? Do you barter for everything? I'm going to be making a fool of myself on this holiday as well! I'll let you know what the weather was like!

Right, bartering (or haggling as we call it) is very easy - just don't give in! If you really like something, and they won't come down on price, just walk away and chances are they'll come after you with a much lower price. To be honest if you don't haggle they get a bit worried - always haggle for everything. However, it all depends how touristy the areas are you're going to, as they may not haggle there. But if in doubt try - you have nothing to lose - have fun!
